When her children were young, she supplemented the family income by selling Avon and then when her children were at the “right age” she enjoyed her work at the Eaton’s cosmetic counter until retirement. Her home was always the “do drop in” for family coming home to visit and for her children’s neighbourhood friends, it was a gathering point.
She was the compass that provided the direction for each to follow. There was not a thing she would not do when called upon by family and loved to be kept in the loop with what was happening with each and everyone. Odella enjoyed her family life, and her family was her priority. She is the last in line of her 13 siblings and was predeceased by her sisters Joan, Hilda, Olive, Olga, Henrietta, Thelma, Florence and brothers Elmer, Gerald, Roger, Gordon and Hessel. Odella is lovely remembered by her brother-in-law Raymond Mahar (Dora) and sister-in-law Marie Mahar and will be greatly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
